Psychology Graduate Training Program Feature

The Chronicle of Higher Education author Beckie Supiano highlighted the role collegiate educators play in developing successful future professors and academics in a recent publication. Melissa Beers, the psychology department's program director for courses Intro to Psychology and Intro to Social Psychology, was featured in this article.

Beers' program focuses heavily on training and preparing graduate students to teach these courses to the highest of their abilities. Her program includes requirements for these often first-time teachers to take courses that pertain to foundational teaching strategies as well as course-specific classes for "microteaching."
