In Memory of Bill Hemming

Bill Hemming, who worked in the Department of Psychology for 10 years until his retirement in late 2008, passed away on December 5, 2019.  As noted in his obituary, Bill served in several roles in the department, including greeting students and faculty from the reception desk in Townshend Hall and later the Psychology Building. But everyone knew that art was his passion. His paintings were exhibited at the Short North Tavern during Gallery Hops, and many Psychology faculty and staff are proud owners of original Bill Hemming artwork.

Bill always had a kind word for everyone, a happy disposition, quirky humor, and wide-ranging interests that led to long and interesting conversations. He was utterly unique and will be missed by all who knew him.
