Kirby Lab Grant
The Kirby lab has recently been awarded a three year grant from the National Science Foundation titled "Adult neural stem cell self-regulation via soluble growth factor." The scientific goal of the grant is to determine the signaling mechanisms by which neural stem cells self-maintain their own stemness through expression of vascular endothelial growth factor. The main outreach goal is to expand their newly-created stem cell education program for high schoolers.
Congratulations to Dr. Elizabeth Kirby and her team on this amazing accomplishment!
