Julian Thayer will be presented with the Society of Behavioral Medicine (SBM) 2019 Distinguished Scientist Award at the SBM Annual Meeting & Scientific Sessions, March 6-9 in Washington, D.C. This award is the most prestigious research award granted by SBM and is based on total career achievement. Nominees must have achieved scholarly distinction (i.e., made a series of distinguished empirical contributions or contributed substantially to the development of new theories or methods), and recipients of the award are invited to give a master lecture at the SBM annual meeting.
