Ian Krajbich to lead Decision Science Collaborative

Ian Krajbich

Dr. Ian Krajbich, a professor with background in both Psychology and Economics, will lead the Decision Science Collaborative for a four-year term beginning September 1, 2019 until June 2023.

Initially known as the Behavioral Decision Making Initiative, this project was launched in the Social and Behavioral Sciences by Psychology under Gifford Weary's leadership as dean. Hal Arkes was the first director, followed by Michael DeKay whose research focused on the psychology of judgment and decision making. Under the direction of Ellen Peters, it has grown to be a strong center of excellence in the decision sciences spanning a very broad array of applications. The initiative was renamed the Decision Sciences Collaborative in 2014 to reflect its interdisciplinary focus.

Congratulations to Ian! The department looks forward to the continued growth of this ground-breaking collaboration.
