Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Science Sundays: "Changing how people think about science"

Laura Wagner
February 1, 2026
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Ohio Union U.S. Bank Conference Theater

Communicating with the public about their science isn't something that all scientists do, nor is it something that they all do well.  This talk will discuss how our language science lab inside the Center of Science and Industry (COSI) teaches Ohio State students how to promote science understanding about language. Our research shows the impact of our methods on museum visitors as well as on students themselves.

This event is free and open to the public. We ask that you kindly RSVP using the updated form below, but registration is not required to attend the lecture. Seating will be on a first come, first served basis.
